In a direct print on forex, your photo is printed straight onto the forex using an advanced six-colour technique. Forex is a robust lightweight plastic board with a smooth surface. A direct print on forex can easily be hung on the wall using one of our hanging systems.

The difference to a photo on forex

As you may already have seen, we also offer photos on forex. But what’s the difference? A direct print on forex means that the photo is printed onto the material using a UV inkjet printer. A photo on forex means that we develop your photo on high-quality photo paper which we then glue to the material. This means your image is sharper and colourfast. What’s the difference between direct print and a photo when creating wall art?

There are different ways of making a wall art item. For instance we offer both a photo on dibond and a direct print on dibond. The same goes for plexiglas and forex. But what’s the difference?

In a direct print the photo is printed directly onto the materials. Your photo is built up pixel by pixel. This creates intense colours with a superb matte finish. In a photo print, the photo is chemically developed on genuine photo paper. Then the photo print is glued onto the board material. This professional photo paper features a broad colour range (sRGB) and outstanding quality. Striking colours are retained and the photos are razor-sharp, without any dot screening and with flowing transitions.

Direct print on forex

There are many advantages to a direct print on forex. The product is made of a lightweight material, it’s extremely robust and the print method gives you a matte finish which is ideal for spaces with lots of light or for preventing unwanted reflections. So if you’re looking for an ideal product that can be delivered quickly and cheaply, then direct printing  on forex is a good choice.

A photo on forex takes things even a step further. Here, a photo is first chemically developed on genuine Fujifilm Digital Professional DP II photo paper – then it’s glued onto forex.
