How does automatic scaling work?

At Profotonet images are automatically made to fit the selected paper size. As such, the aspect ratio of the submitted image is decisive in the ultimate print size. There are also more protracted aspect ratios, such as 9:16, (often on mobile phones or landscape settings on a camera). This is a panoramic aspect ratio and can result in white borders. Digital cropping can also alter a image’s aspect ratio. Different aspect ratios in one order yield different print formats. To get everything printed at the same size, everything will have to be submitted in the same aspect ratio.
