Sublimation technique

A photo on Chromaluxe is made via sublimation. The sublimation process works like this: first, a photo with 4 tints of heat-sensitive ink is printed on paper. Then, this photo is placed in a special machine, whereby the image is transposed via heat, and under immense pressure, onto the aluminium plate’s coating. This is also known as heat transfer. Due to the heat the ink actually evaporates in the coating, which results in an outstandingly clear, vibrant photo on Chromaluxe.
